Full & Partial Rewires

When is a Rewire Needed?
Electrical installations degrade over time, and outdated wiring can become a serious safety hazard. If your property still has old wiring (such as rubber-insulated cables, fabric-covered wires, or an old fuse box), frequent issues like flickering lights, tripping breakers, or burning smells may indicate it’s time for a rewire.

-
Full Rewire – Recommended for older properties (typically 25+ years) or when the entire electrical system is unsafe or inefficient. A full rewire replaces all wiring, sockets, switches, and often the consumer unit (fuse box) to meet modern safety standards.
-
Partial Rewire – Suitable when only specific circuits (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, or an extension) need upgrading while the rest of the system is still in good condition.
How We Perform a Rewire
Our certified electricians ensure minimal disruption while:
-
Assessing your current installation for safety risks.
-
Removing old wiring and replacing it with modern, fire-resistant cables.
-
Installing new sockets, switches, and a consumer unit (if needed).
-
Testing & certifying the system to comply with current regulations (BS 7671).

Why a Rewire is Essential?
Old or faulty wiring increases the risk of electric shocks, fires, and power failures. A rewire improves safety, enhances energy efficiency, and ensures your home can handle modern electrical demands. Plus, it’s a legal requirement for rental properties to meet wiring standards.
